A stable Wi-Fi connection is required to set up your Guardian Valve Controller, remotely control your valve, and receive push notifications via the app.
In case you lose Wi-Fi connectivity on your phone or home, your Guardian Valve Controller will still close the water main and protect your home in the event of a leak. However, you will not receive a push notification on the app.
